Project Child Find

In order to identify preschool children whose serious problems may lead to difficulties in school, Haledon Public School will assess any children 3-5 years of age and who are suspected to have a disability.

Project Child Find

Project CHILD FIND is a free referral service and public awareness campaign to assist in the identification of unserved/underserved youth with a delay or disability from birth through twenty-one years of age.

For children ages 3-21: If you have concerns about your child's development and would like to request an evaluation, send a written request to the Special Services Department. Include your child's name, birth date, your concerns and contact information. Upon receipt of your written request, a member of the Child Study Team will contact you to arrange a meeting. At the meeting, you will discuss your concerns with the Child Study Team and a determination will be made if an evaluation is necessary and what evaluations will be conducted, if needed.

Under the age of 3: Contact the New Jersey Early Intervention System at 1-888-653-4463.
