Dear Parent or Guardian:

As the end of school draws very near, I urge each of you to consider purchasing school uniforms from the board approved vendor Co-Ed Uniform, early in the summer.  Our website has information for you to review as needed.  You may order from the vendor by phone, online, or in person at the location, and it also comes with a guarantee.  Ordering and purchasing before August ensures that your student will have the uniform items for the first day of school.

Please remember that Co-Ed Uniform Company is the ONLY Board of Education approved company to provide uniform clothing.  HPS apparel is NOT available at department stores such as Old Navy, Burlington, Sears, Target, Kmart or Wal-Mart, etc.  Please do not let salespersons from retail stores tell you that their shirts and pants are uniform items.  They are NOT.    Form-fitting pants or any pant that stretches is not an HPS uniform item.  Proper attire is required for the students to come to school.

Other items to keep in mind include the following: 

Only black or white sneakers and black or brown shoes are permitted. 

• Only black, white or tan colored tights are permitted for the girls.
• Only black or white knee length or ankle socks are permitted for both boys and girls.
• Pants for both girls and boys must fit at the waist, as has been the dress code in the past.  This means pants cannot be worn at on or below the hips.  The skort must be at least to the tip of the longest finger.
• The cardigan styles are wonderful options in cooler weather.  The uniform polo or uniform white dress shirt must be worn underneath the cardigan.  T-shirts or the absence of a t-shirt under the cardigan is not a uniform option.  The HPS sweaters and fleeces must also have a shirt underneath them.  Keeping all jackets, coats and hoodies in student lockers remains school policy.

Product information sheets have been provided to all families.  An early-bird special on polo shirts is being offered.   I encourage you to purchase or order uniforms for your student before August.
