REQUEST FOR BIDS

 

The Haledon Board of Education invites your written sealed bid on the following:

Bids will be accepted by mail or in person until 2:00 PM prevailing time, on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in the Haledon Board of Education offices located at 70 Church Street, Haledon, NJ 07508.  They will be opened and read aloud at that time.

 

Bids must be sealed, plainly marked and the envelope containing the bid shall be endorsed on its face with the name of the person, firm or corporation making such bid and the bid number and name for which such bid is made.  The Board will not be responsible for the premature opening of any bid not so marked.  FAXED or EMAILED bids do not qualify as written sealed bids.

 

All bidders must comply with P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 entitled An Act relating to Affirmative Action.  All bidders must submit a photocopy of their Federal Letter of Affirmative Action Plan Approval, or a photocopy of their Certificate of Information Report or a completed Affirmative Action Employee Information Report (AA302).

 

All vendors must complete a Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran

 

Corporate bidders are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock.

 

All bidders shall submit with their bid packet a copy of the Business Registration Certificate as issued by the Department of Treasury of the State of New Jersey (N.J.A. 52:32-44).

 

A Non–Collusion Affidavit must be filed with the bid.  The bid packet will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid.  Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid.

 

All bids must be on the form of proposal, must include all other affidavits and information required, and must conform to the specifications.

 

This bid is part of an E-rate application. As such all vendors must have a Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN). Vendors who do not have this will automatically be disqualified. 

 

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive immaterial informalities, or to accept any bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Education, will be in the best interest of the school district.  The Board reserves the right to award a contract for equipment, supplies, and/or services to a single bidder or two or more bidders.  Cost of shipping to be included in bid prices.

 

Specifications and bid forms are available from the Board Office, 70 Church Street, Haledon NJ 07508, during the regular business hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. They are also available on the SLD website.
