My name is Christopher Wacha, and I am extremely excited to have been entrusted with the opportunity to serve the students of Haledon as the principal of the Haledon Public School. The children of Haledon are undoubtedly the town's most valuable resource, and I am looking forward to working with a talented staff of teachers and school support staff to provide our students with an excellent educational experience. Student advancement and achievement, whether it be academic, artistic, social, behavioral, or athletic, will always be the top priority of this school district.
I am certainly not a stranger to the Haledon Public School, the children of Haledon, or the township of Haledon due to my past educational positions. I served as an English teacher, athletic coach, and SAT instructor at the Passaic County Technical Institute for over a decade. Next, I spent four amazing years serving many Haledon students as the Assistant Principal, English Supervisor and Federal Programs Administrator at Manchester Regional High School. These experiences have granted me with a keen understanding of this town, these children, and the educational needs of said children.
I am eager to meet all of the children and young adults that will attend Haledon Public School this September. I will seek to continue, develop, and buttress a culture that prioritizes student achievement, collaboration, strategic planning, clear communication, and logical data-driven decision making. I am looking forward to this amazing upcoming school year and towards many amazing school years to come.
